Welcome to DAY 6 of week 1 of the course!

First please reconnecting to the motivation.

This is the final sequence for the first week and we have a little bit more relaxing sequence, we are doing deep twists. There will be more twists in this course, because these poses are very nourishing for the spine and also twists remove tension and fatigue from the nervous system. Twists have a great effect on the spine, as they decompress the staves between vertebrae and to supply fresh blood to these areas.

If sitting on the floor is difficult for you, you can equally well do this pose sitting on chair. Twists on a chair are very effective.

You may feel a little bit sleepy after doing this, so the best time to practice this is evening. If you are practicing in the morning though and you want to energise your body, try some backbends, like setubandha from day 2, cobra pose (bhujangasana) which we did on day 4, or fish pose (matyasana), the last pose in the sequence from day 5. Backbends tend to be deeply invigorating.
